Austin James
McInville
September 8, 1993 – April 25, 2026
Austin James McInville, 32, of 201 Lakeview Drive, Greenwood, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Born on September 8, 1993, in Greenwood, he was a son of James "Jimmy" Leonard McInville and the late Robin Cavender McInville.
Austin was a remarkable young man who embraced life with a full heart and fearless spirit. Born with spina bifida, he never allowed this challenge to define him or limit his joy. Instead, he loved life deeply and lived it to the fullest. His days were brightened by simple pleasures such as the beach, the thrill of cars and motorcycles, and the excitement of attending car shows. Austin also had a unique passion for collecting knives, a hobby that often set off metal detectors at events.
His favorite times were those spent with his family and friends—he treasured conversations and moments spent with those close to him, always eager to listen, connect, and laugh.
He is survived by his father, Jimmy; his sister, Alyssa McInville Burdette (Kirk); his nephew, Connor Burdette; his aunts, Rebecca Page (Curtis), Rejeana Whitfield (Kenneth), and Chandra McDowell (Mark); his uncles, Roddy Cavender (Theresa), Tommy Cavender (Karen), and Darren Ouzts (April); his grandparents, Roland and Melody McInville, Terry Gilchrist and Marion Gilchrist; his girlfriend, Amy Loehr; and adopted grandma, Geraldine Stewart.
In addition to his mother, Robin, he was preceded in death by his brother, Christian Travis McInville, and his uncle, Paul Cavender; grandmother, Sharlene Cavender; and grandfathers, Paul Cavender and Ronnie Hastings.
The family will be at the home, 201 Lakeview Drive, Greenwood, for anyone who wishes to come by and visit.
Throughout his life, Austin’s gentle nature and loving heart touched many. He will be remembered simply, yet profoundly, for his passion, his kindness, and the warmth he brought to those fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will forever be a cherished part of the hearts of all who loved him.
