Barbara Jean Goodman Gary, 92, resident of Brookdale Greenwood, wife of Ira Neal Gary, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.

Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Emma Wrenn Goodman. She retired from Greenwood Mills after more than thirty five years and was a member of Jordan Memorial Baptist Church. Barbara enjoyed going to church, where she worked in the nursery and shopping was her favorite hobby.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Ira are her children, Joseph Gary and Daniel Gary (Glenda); five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Garrett; brother, Kenneth Goodman; and granddaughter, Angela Boots.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Pastor Chris Garrison officiating.
