Barbara Scoggins, 81, of 619 Davis Street, wife of Rev. Billy Scoggins for 58 years, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Hospice House.

Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late J Willie and Lois Ginn Giles. She was a member of A New Beginning Worship Center, where she served as Associate Pastor as well as a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years. Mrs. Scoggins was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are her daughter, Denise Scoggins Scott of Washington, GA., her son Randy Scoggins of Greenwood; grandchildren, Joshua Scott and Stephanie Statom; five great grandchildren; and special friend, Alice Gilliam.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Ouzts. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Honorary escort will be Dr. Ted Vaughn, Dr. Alfred Ebert, Dr. Rob Tiller, Alice Gilliam, Dr. William Gilchrist, Dr. Paul Kim, and Dr. Claudio Guareschi.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
