Barbara Wright Wham, 74, formerly of Matthews Heights, widow of the late Sonny Wham, died Monday, March 14, 2016 at NHC Healthcare Center following an extended illness.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Clara Hamilton. She retired from the Greenwood Telephone Company and later worked with Carolina Pride as a receptionist. She was a member of Harris Baptist Church. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and friend to many.

Surviving are a son, Billy Gary of Greenwood; four sisters, Marion Knight and Bernice Maddox both of Greenwood, Becky Valine and Teresa Buschaum, both of Tampa, FL.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Wright.

Services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 am.
