Obituary

Rebecca �Becky� Watson Turner, 78, of 204 Rivers Run, wife of Olin Turner, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at her home. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Charles Aiken and Maggie Lee Davis Watson. She received her MA degree in Guidance Counseling from Clemson University and her Psychologist II degree from the University of South Carolina. She taught middle school at Brewer, where she was a guidance counselor for her last four years before retiring in 1997. Becky was a member of Lowell Street United Methodist Church, where her passion was being a part of the church choir. She was a member of the Monday Morning Bible Study, the Hannah Circle of the UMW and served as a leader of UMYF along with her husband for many years. Surviving is her husband of the home; children, Beverly Turner, Stan Turner, Al Turner and Deidre Molden and her husband, Clay, all of Greenwood; grandchildren, Gray Turner and his wife, Tori Reynolds Turner of McClellanville, Olin Turner, IV and Haven Turner, both of Greenwood. She was preceded in death by all of her sisters and brothers, Mary Anderson, Virg Mitchell, Helen Johnson, Esty Rachels, Howard Watson, Jim Watson, Ralph Watson and Tommy Watson. It is respectfully requested that flowers be omitted and memorials made to Lowell Street United Methodist Church, 300 Lowell Street, Greenwood, SC 29646 or to HospiceCare of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
