Benjamin Franklin �Benny� Willis, 56, of 126 Thompson Drive, husband of Carlotta Luker Willis, died December 8, 2011 at his residence after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Dennis �Dink� Willis of McCormick and Inez Holloway Nasworthy of Midville, GA and by a grandson, Thomas Hagen. Benny was born in McCormick, SC on August 25, 1955. He graduated from McCormick High School and served in the National Guard. He was employed as a carpenter. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are; two daughters, Rebecca (Preston) Olson of Newberry and Jimmie Lynn (Glen) McDonald of Greenwood; a brother, Tommy Willis of McCormick; two sisters, Donna (John) Watson and Denise (Sammy) Flanders, both of Midville, GA; grandchildren, Nina Ouzts, of the home, Amber McDonald, Austin McDonald, Adam McDonald, all of Greenwood and Brandon Ouzts of Hodges; and three great grandchildren, Brayden Newman, Kameron Newman, both of Greenwood and Bryson Ouzts of Hodges. His wishes were to have his remains donated to the Medical College of Georgia for research and scientific study.
