Betty Ann Davenport Allen, 78, of 33 Burroughs Road, Waterloo, widow of James David Allen, died Monday, April 29, 2013 at Hospice House, Greenwood. Born in Gaffney, she was a daughter of the late Mack Neil and Cora Mae Cogdill Davenport. She was formerly employed by Greenwood Mills, was a former member of Trinity Church and currently a member of Living Waters Tabernacle. Surviving are her children, Steve Trail and his wife, Sherry, Melinda Fulmer and her husband, Keith, and Cathy Burdette and her husband, Charles, all of Waterloo and Jay Cockrell and his wife, Tracy of Greenwood; sisters, Rosa Mae Pruitt of Columbia and Lottie Lorine Lake of Waterloo; brother, Clyde Franklin Davenport of Greenwood; six grandchildren, Eric Fulmer, Kristie Hitt and her husband, Adam, Mark Cockrell, Randy Burdette, Kateyn Trail and Julianna Trail; three great grandchildren, Jacob Fulmer, Makayla Cole and Skylar Hitt; prayer partner and dear friend, Mae Young. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Neil Reynolds; brothers, Mack Willis Davenport and Johnny Davenport and a granddaughter, Stephanie Trail. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Davenport, Chuck Davenport, Tony Reynolds, Rhett Burroughs, Tommy Reynolds and Ricky Taylor. Honorary escort will be Barry Davenport.
