Betty Crowe Bennett, 69, of 6614 Ninety Six Highway, wife of Horace Odell Bennett, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Hospice House. Born in Fort Mill, she was a daughter of the late J. R. and Nola Mae Duncan Crowe. She was formerly employed by Woodfields Baptist Church, Greenwood, and served as the Outreach Volunteer Coordinator for the American Cancer Society. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, where she taught in the children�s Sunday School department. Surviving is her husband of the home; a son, Butch Bennett (Sandra) of Saluda; two sisters, Mary Crowe Whitt of Greenwood and Shirley McElrath of Mauldin; four brothers, Ray Crowe of Greenwood, Nolan Crowe of Abbeville, Charles Crowe of Virginia Beach, VA and Richard Crowe of Hodges; grandchildren, Lacie Bennett of Saluda, Courtney Bennett (Ashley) of Calhoun Falls and Brandon Bennett of Saluda; great grandchildren, Michael Andrew Fultz, Keith Allie Cockrell, Jr. and Anslee Paige Cockrell, all of Saluda. She was preceded in death by a sister, Willie Ruth Barbee. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Barbee, Raymond Barbee, Chip Whitt, Ryan Ashley, John Bennett and Kenny Crowe. Honorary escort will be members of the Men�s Bible Class of Temple Baptist Church. The family is at the home.
