Betty Woodson Darby, 84, of 404 Willard Road, widow of Albert D. Darby, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at her home. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Clarence Woodson, Sr. and Sarah Margaret Stoner. Betty was a retired teacher from Ninety Six Elementary School and was a member of Coronaca Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for over 50 years. Surviving are three sons, Albert Donnald �Don� Darby, Jr. (Susie) of Valkaria, FL, Keith W. Darby (Gwen) of Greenwood and Ted A. Darby (Janet Lou) of Knoxville, TN; three sisters, Irene Revis, Joy Poore, both of Pelzer and Mildred Snyder of Greenville; three brothers, Bill Woodson of Pelzer, Dr. Marvin Woodson of Spartanburg and Henry Woodson of Landrum; grandsons, Phillip Darby of Tampa, FL, Paul Darby (Kelly) of Clermont, FL and Tim Darby (Charlane) of Melbourne, FL; granddaughters, Whitney Ranasinghe (Viran) of Philadelphia, PA and Alaina Darby of Knoxville, TN; two great grandchildren, Gavin and Brynn Darby of Clermont, FL; and her beloved cat, Tony.
