Obituary

Betty Jean Floyd, 91, of Idlewood, widow of Gene Gordon Floyd, died Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at her home.

Born in Clinton, she was a daughter of the late William and Annie Mae Kinard Caughman. Betty Jean was known for her skills in the kitchen, where she enjoying baking cakes and sharing them with family and friends. She was a member of North Side Baptist Church since 1967, where she was a former member of the choir and the Senior Adults.

Betty Jean is survived by her children, Norma Jean Horne (Ricky) and James William "Billy" Floyd; granddaughters, Amanda Slay, Amber Jamison (Mike) and Kelsey Mancuyas (Chris); and great grandchildren, Justus Moody, Cayden Daniel, Braelyn Daniel, Bryston Barrett, Isabella Mancuyas and Julian Mancuyas.

A memorial service will be held on 11am Saturday, March 29, 2025, in the chapel of North Side Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Lethco officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
