Betty Zuela Leroy, 76, of 132 Kathwood Drive, died Monday, April 16, 2012 at Hospice House. Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of Sarah Meeks Alverson and the late L. F. Alverson, Jr. She attended Piedmont Technical College and was a seamstress with S.T.K. Manufacturing. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, where she formerly taught Sunday School. Surviving is her mother of Greenwood; her daughter, Wendy T. Powers and her husband, Mike, of Greenwood; her granddaughter, Jodi P. Wilson and her husband, Casey; and great grandchildren, Kelley Denise Wilson and Charli Michaela Wilson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene H. Leroy.
