Betty Boyd Meador, 78, of 202 Orchard Drive, wife of Herbert Kenneth Meador, died Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Hospice House. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Herbert E. and Gracie Lee Horne Boyd. Betty enjoyed living the military life with her husband, watching T.V. and bird watching. She attended Fellowship Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband of the home; her son, Danny Meador (Theresa) of Belton; her daughters, Libby Meador (Phil) of Greenwood, Darlene Horne (David) of West Columbia and Debbie Smith (Chris) of Hodges; a sister, Carrie Lee Watson of Greenwood; a brother, Eugene Boyd (Myrtle) of Ninety Six; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be made to HospiceCare of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
