Betty Page Richey, 89, formerly of Dunn Lane, Ninety Six, widow of Charles Lanford Richey, died Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late William Jackson "Boss" and Mollie Tyner Page. Betty was a floral designer and was past president of the Ware Shoals Women's Club and a former member of the Ware Shoals Town Council. She was a member of Rice Memorial Baptist Church.
Betty is survived by her children, Charles Andrew Richey of Abbeville, Patrice Martin (Sam) of Ninety Six, Clare McGaha (Don) of Ware Shoals, Lane Reynolds of Simpsonville and Merry Wood (Tommy) of Ware Shoals; grandchildren, Melisande Gillespie (Keith), Shannon Martin, Alicia Phillips (David), Anna Marie Frank (Jonathan), Meghan Schmelter (Garrett), Amanda Wood and Averie Wood; great grandchildren, Lindsey Davis (Lance), Sam Martin (Graysen), Neely Martin, Collin Cummings, Ben Phillips, Reagan Phillips, Chandler Davis, Chelsea Davis, Noah Frank and Isabella Frank; two great-great granddaughters, Blakely Berry and Audrey Abernathy; sister, Bobby Nell Wood of Simpsonville; and all her furry friends too numerous to mention.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Howle officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12 – 1 p.m.
Family members are at their respective homes.
