Betty Sue Medlock Wells, 74, of 622 Grier Street, widow of John Roberts Wells, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.

Born in Possum Kingdom, she was a daughter of the late Elbert and Margaret Strawhorn Medlock. She retired from Harris Plant and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son, Bryon Wells (Natalie) of Greenwood, Michael Wells (Stephanie) of Waterloo, and Dale Wells of the home; sisters, Barbara Coker (Alton), Frances Gambrell, and Brenda Bryant; brothers, Edward Medlock and Raymond Medlock (Janice); seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Ouzts officiating. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Preston Wells, Tyler Wells, Zach Wells, Brandon Wells, Ricky Brown, and Tony Fallow.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
