Beulah Mae Waldrop Philbeck, 88, of 508 Saddle Hill Road, Greenwood, widow of Horace H. Philbeck, died Sunday, November 12, 2017 at her home.

Born in Cherokee County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Harley D. and Lillie Mae Anderson Waldrop. Beulah retired from Greenwood Mills and was a member of Sandridge Baptist Church for many years and recently a member at Restoration Ministries Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her son, Eugene Philbeck; a brother, Jimmy Waldrop; and two stepbrothers, Dewey Waldrop and H. D. Waldrop.

Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Laughlin (Roger) of Greenwood; a daughter-in-law, Clarice Philbeck; a sister, Rosie Coleman of Hildebrand, NC; a stepsister, Joy Russel; a step brother, Lester Waldrop of Rock Hill; three grandchildren, Dickie Gardner (Angie) of Callison, DeeDee Gardner White (Paul) of Lexington; and Jennifer Gardner Huntsberger of Greenwood; eight great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday at Restoration Ministries Church of God with the Rev. Kenneth Rabon and Chaplin Rick Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow at Sandridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scottie Sherfield, Richard Gardner, Dickie Gardner, Paul White, Grant Alexander and Cecil Lucas.

Honorary escort will be the members of the Friend Class of Restoration Ministries Church of God.

The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Jeannie Tesner for the special care and love shown to Ms. Philbeck over the last year.
