Billy Eugene Dorn, age 77, of Hodges, husband of Betty Allen Dorn, passed away on April 23, 2025.

Born on September 12, 1947, in Greenwood, he was a son of the late George F. Dorn and Martha Burroughs Dorn. Billy was a skilled machinist who spent many years in the manufacturing industry, working at Burnstein and Greenwood Mills. His talents extended beyond machining; he held a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and worked as a truck driver. Additionally, he was highly skilled in carpentry and auto body work, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a passion for hands-on craftsmanship throughout his life. He was a member of New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church. An esteemed member of the Bascomb Masonic Lodge #363, Billy proudly served as Lodge Master in 1984 and dedicated over 40 years of his life to the organization, exemplifying the values of brotherhood and community service. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his stepchildren, Bruce Kellett (Michelle), Sandra Martinez, Sharon Johnson, Randall Kellett (Angela) and Dean Kellett (Nicole); a sister, Alice Hooper (Donnie); brothers, Tony Dorn (Yvonne), George Dorn (Angie), John Dorn (Tammy) and Bobby Dorn; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 3pm on Friday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jonnie Waller officiating.
