William �Billy Mac� McDowell, 65, of 109 Stoker Road, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014, at his home. Born in Edgefield, he was a son of the late Allen and Bernice Still McDowell. He was a self employed mechanic and loved drag racing. Billy was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. A man of great strength and few words devoted to his country and his family, he gave all. A friend to many, he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, he will be missed beyond measure. Surviving are his wife, Delilah of the home; one daughter, Grace McDowell of Greenwood; three sons, Mark, Max, and Michael McDowell, all of Greenwood; four granddaughters, Emma, Marissa, Bella, and Madison McDowell, all of Greenwood; and one grandson, Damien McDowell of Greenwood. He leaves behind two brothers, Clyde McDowell of Hartwell, GA and Roger McDowell of Ninety Six. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold McDowell.
