Billye G. Wright Jackson, 91 years old, passed away at Hospice House in Greenwood, SC, on Saturday August 25, 2018.
Born in Crockett County, TN she is the daughter of the late James Gordon Green and Ruby Bell Green. Her love was family, reading, crosswords & crocheting. Her path in life took her first to Nashville, TN where she attended Draughon's Business College. There she married William Irving Wright (pre-deceased), where together, they had a daughter Sheila Brooks of Ninety Six, SC and a son Richard Wright of NC. She later moved to Washington, DC and married Fred R. Jackson (pre-deceased) who brought her into the military wife career along with three loving children, Gordon Ross Jackson (Dorothy) of NC, Joel & Noel Jackson (both pre-deceased). Upon retiring, they made their home in Surfside Beach, SC where she later worked for and retired from AVX, in Quality Control.
She was a member of the Church of Christ. The strength of the Christian faith in her family filters through her precious sister, Bettye Duncan (Billy) of Alabama; brothers, James Green (Jeanette) of TN, Franklin Green of TX, Carroll L Green (pre-deceased) and Naufleet Woodside (pre-deceased).
She leaves behind to cherish her memory eleven grandchildren which were the highlight of her life. In addition, she had many great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
Services will be held at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens, North Myrtle Beach SC on Thursday, August 30th at 3pm with grandsons being pallbearers.
