Robert Allen Leopard, Sr. "Bob Allen", of Ninety Six, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late John "Bob" Leopard and Christine Hewett Leopard. Bob Allen lived a fulfilling life characterized by hard work, and an unfailing love for his family. After graduation from Ninety Six High School, he and his father founded Leopard and Son Trucking Company, where he drove for over thirty years. He was affectionately known by his handle "Bobcat". Bob Allen was an avid collector of many things and used his tinkering skills to bring new life to old cars and tractors. Later in life, he owned and operated his own landscaping business and loved to spend time mowing lawns. He was a people person, and always eager to strike up a conversation and make new friends. He enjoyed passing the time discussing family, machinery, and the Lord. Bob Allen was also a member of Sandridge Baptist Church.
Bob Allen was preceded in death by his former spouses, Carole Leopard, Sharon Calvert Leopard and Jackie Fergurson Townsend; and son, J. T. Leopard.
Surviving are a son, Robert Allen Leopard, Jr.; a sister, Donna Ek (Johnny); grandchildren, Xander Leopard and Nevaeh Leopard; and many beloved step-children and grandchildren; nieces, Melissa Hinzman (Brad), Temple Anderson (Ron) and Elizabeth Calhoun (Nathan); nephews, John W. Ek, Jr. and David Adams; special friends of the family, Eddie Ballard, and Christy Townsend-Cail.
Services will be held at 3:00pm Friday, December 8, 2023, at Sandridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Marty Dorn and Rev. Gary Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Allen Leopard, David Adams, Ron Anderson, Brad Hinzman, Danny Doolittle, and Gary Hepler.
Honorary escort will be Eddie Ballard along with the men of Sandridge Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at the church before the service from 2:00-3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sandridge Baptist Church at 301 Sandridge Church Road, Ninety Six, SC 29666.
