Bobby Leland Davenport, Sr., 63, of 3925 Watts Bridge Road, Cross Hill, husband of Victoria Lee Godsey Davenport, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late James Willis and Bessie Louise Simpson Davenport. He was a US Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. Surviving is his wife of the home; two sons, Buck Davenport (Shannon) of Baton Rouge, LA and Bubba Davenport (Kathy) of Greenwood; a daughter, Brandy Wilson (Robbie) of Cross Hill; two brothers, Barron Davenport of Elgin and Wayne Davenport of Greenwood; and four grandchildren, Billy Wilson, Lauren Davenport, Kate Davenport and Ellis Davenport. It is requested that no flowers be sent and memorials made to MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, Office of Development, 86 Jonathan Lucas Street, MSC 955, Charleston, SC 29425.
