Aron L. �Bobby� Maffett, 78, of 1302 Highway 248 South, husband of Myrna Cobb Maffett, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Werts and Alma Leopard Maffett. Bobby was a U.S. Army veteran having served during Peacetime. He retired from Greenwood Mills � Adams Plant where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club and was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are two daughters, Sheri Maffett and Donna Rankin, both of Ninety Six; and two grandsons, D. Ryan Balentine and T. Cade Calliham, both of Greenwood. He was preceded in death by a sister, Vera Driggers and three brothers, James Maffett, Frank Maffett and Ralph Maffett. Pallbearers will be Mike Leopard, Allen Fortner, Wayne Quarles, Stanley Vines, Doug Hastings and Bill McAllister. Honorary escorts will be Danny Balentine, Shane Cobb, John Cobb, Aaron Hastings and the members of the Joe Brehmer Sunday School class.
