Bobby Lee Roberts, 74, of 2211 B Scotts Ferry Road, husband of Martha Alexander Roberts died Thursday, November 12, 2009 at his home. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Robert Lee and Dorothy Cary Roberts. Mr. Roberts was retired as a truck driver and an U. S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife of the home; a son, Rusty Roberts of Athens, GA; three daughters, Kim Dubois of Ninety Six, Debbie Knowles and Donna Roberts, both of Griffin, GA; two sisters, Faye Moody of Athens, GA and Vickie Stephens of Union Point, GA; two brothers, Lewis Roberts of Union Point and Lonnie Roberts of Athens; eleven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robbie Alexander, John Alexander, Steve Crawford and Derek DuBois. Honorary escorts will be volunteers of Hospice.
