Bonnie Kathleen Holcombe Anders, 76, of Greenwood, wife of Bobby Dean Anders, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born on December 12, 1947, in Greenville, SC, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Clifton A. Holcombe and Lucille Floyd Holcombe. She was a graduate of Parker High School, where she was the South Carolina State President of Future Business Leaders of America and a News Top Teen. After high school she received a full ride to Furman University.
Throughout her life, Bonnie exuded warmth and compassion, always putting her family above all else. She was a cherished wife, mother, sister, and beloved grandmother affectionately known as GiGi. She found immense joy in cooking for her loved ones and will be fondly remembered for spoiling her grandchildren. Bonnie's creative spirit shone bright through her work as a graphic designer which led her to begin QTI Sports in Mrytle Beach that was later merged with the Rug Barn in Abbeville. She was also the owner of BoBo & Co, an outdoor furniture store designed and built by Bonnie and Bobby and Dezine Shop, an online store where she brought her artistic visions to life.
In addition to her successful career, Bonnie was a dedicated member of Georges Creek Baptist Church and Forest Brook Baptist Church, where she actively engaged with the youth. She had a deep love for art, music, and her faith in the Lord, which guided her throughout her life. Her home was always a beacon of hospitality, open to all who crossed its threshold.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Bobby Anders, her children Christopher Anders (Stephanie Vasquez) and Cheyanne Petrus (Ricky Landrith); her brothers C. Doug Holcombe (Darlene) and Steve Holcombe (Ann); her sister-in-law Diane Springs (Marion); her grandchildren, Kerrington Anders (Liz), Lauryn Landrith (Drew Phillips), Chase Anders, and Harper Glenn Landrith; the mothers of her grandsons' Jennifer Mitchell and Gisela Perez; numerous nieces and nephews; and special care giver, Jessica Gillespie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Lonnie Holcombe and son-in-law, Eric Petrus.
Along with her caregiver, Jessica, the family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Caris Hospice for the love and care given to Bonnie.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 26th at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel.
