Bonita "Bonnie" Coleman Bruce, 87, of Greenwood, widower of William Jackson Bruce, Sr. passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Wesley Commons.
Born on August 26, 1935, in Laurens, she was the daughter of the late William Allen Coleman and Dorothy (D-Dot) Miller Coleman. Bonnie graduated from Laurens High School and Columbia Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1956 and was in the Red Hat Society. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her children: Bill Bruce (Stephanie) of Greenwood, Allen Bruce (Starla) of Cross Hill and Bob Bruce (Andra) of Mobile, AL; four grandsons, Dylan Bruce, Logan Bruce, Gavin Self-Poole and Andrew Gossett; and a brother, Bob Coleman of Greenwood.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
