Obituary
Bonnie Wideman Newman, 79, of Modoc, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026 at her home.
Born on August 8, 1946 in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late William Elbert Widemand and Faye Hazel Blanchard. Bonnie worked as a spinner at Greenwood Mills until her retirement. She loved her family dearly and cherished every time spent with them.
She is survived by her children, Janice Motte (Garreth Porch), William A. Lewis, Jr. (Adair), and David Wayne Lewis; brother, Bobby Wideman (Rachel); grandchildren, Melissa Faye Motte, William Richard Motte, Kevin Anthony Lewis, and Steven Andrew Lewis; seven great grandchild.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her first husband, William A. Lewis, Sr; second husband, Allen Newman; and brother, John David Wideman.
Private burial will be held for the family.
