Boots Anne Turner Babb, 62, of 106 Coosaw Run, wife of Tim S. Babb, died Friday, April 21, 2017, in Costa Rica.
Born in Greenville, SC, Bootsie was a daughter of the late Harry and Betty Turner. A 1972 graduate of Ware Shoals High School, she received her BS degree from Lander College in 1977. Retired from Ware Shoals Machine Tool, she enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, cruising on the lake with her friends and family, playing any kind of card game and attending her beloved Clemson Tiger games. Bootsie attended St. Mark United Methodist Church.
Surviving is her husband, Tim, of the home; her daughter, Sheena (Tyler) Neel and her granddaughter, Shelby, of Greenwood; her sisters, Aubrey Gey of Alabama, Allison (Ronnie) Walters of Charleston, Beth Patterson of Greenwood, and Dottie (Alan) Blankenship of Lancaster; her brother, Harry Allen Turner of North Myrtle Beach; nephews, Turner, Taylor, and JT Walters and Harmon Turner; nieces, Whitney (Derek) Patterson Stennett and Grayson Patterson, Anna Blankenship Fleming and Katie Blankenship Humphries, Debbie Counts and Laura Pearson, Erin Gladstone and Anna Fultz; great nephew, Thomas Grady Stennett; special 'sisters', Carol Hicks, Connie Hill, Lilli Ann Hall, Kathy Culvern and Mitzi Brown.
Bootsie was preceded in death by her niece, Samantha Blankenship.
A memorial service celebrating her amazing presence and life will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at St. Mark United Methodist Church with Pastor Andrew Vickery officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 12:30 to 2:00 pm.
The family is at the home of her sister, Beth Patterson, 703 Nelson Street.
