Brenda Bryan, a beloved mother, sister, daughter and friend, passed away on June 8, 2026, at the age of 71, in Abbeville, SC.

Born on September 11, 1954, in Bellefontaine, Ohio to the late Kenneth and Bertha Owen. Brenda dedicated her career to education as a secretary, playing a vital role in supporting both students and faculty. She touched the hearts of those around her with her big heart and warm spirit. Brenda lived a life filled with adventure, love, and laughter. An adventurous soul, Brenda loved to travel and once rode cross-country on her motorcycle to visit family members, embodying the spirit of freedom and exploration. She enjoyed cooking and family gatherings which were always characterized by laughter, love, and the joyful chaos. Brenda cherished her time spent outdoors, sunbathing by the pool, and soaking up the warmth of the sunshine. She was a devoted pet owner, caring for her beloved Yorkshire terriers, who brought her immense joy and companionship. 

She is survived by her loving sister, Sharon Owen; her two sons, Tobin "Toby" Workman and Lawrence "Corey" Bryan; her brothers, Kirby Owen and Duane Owen; and her cherished grandson, David Workman. Brenda's legacy of love and laughter will continue to shine through her family.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date, honoring Brenda's remarkable journey and the indelible mark she left in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
