Briana Jean Carruth, 23, of Greenwood, wife of Hunter Blackmon, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at her home after a courageous battle with synovial sarcoma.
Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of Clifton Shane Carruth and Brandi Jean Graham Carruth. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School, where she was a member of the Greenwood High marching band. Briana received her associate degree in criminal justice and graduated from G. Frank Russell Technology Center with her cosmetology license where she was previously employed at Great Clips. She loved going on day trips, hiking, and she loved waterfalls.
In addition to her husband, Hunter, parents, grandparents, and great grandparents are her brother, Clifton Dawson Carruth; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly and were always by her side.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ed and Elaine Carruth; great grandfather, Clifton Hughes, Jr.; and great grandmother, Virginia Hughes.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chuck Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Landon Pitts, Branson Fox, Matthew Hawkins, Gabe Walker, Elijah Wheatt, and Devon Ouzts.
The family will receive friends from 6:00- 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
