James L.�Bubba� Cothran, Jr., 71, of 315 Virginia Avenue, husband of Marian Cothran, died Thursday, July 03, 2014 at his home. Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late James Luther Cothran and Bernice Bass Mayfield. James worked for Greenwood Mills and was the owner and operator of B. C. Auto and Details. He loved cars, was an avid dog lover, and attended Realife Ministries Church. Surviving in addition to his wife of 52 years and his beloved fur baby �Bouncer� are a son, Ricky D. Cothran and his wife, Dee Dee, of Waterloo; two daughters, Nancy Gunter Hanke and her husband, Kyle, and Kathy Cothran White, all of Greenwood; two sisters, Gloria Jacobs and her husband, Jake, of Columbia and Darlene Sullivan of North Augusta; three grandchildren, Layce Renee Gunter, Robert James �R. J.� Hanke and Jonathan T. White; a special family member, Rhonda Harter; and his beloved grand-dog, Abby. Pallbearers will be Luis Rosales, Jim Cothran, Mac Barton, Eddie Fain, Jonathan White and Dean Malone. Honorary escort will be Billy Butler, Chuck and Mary Barton and Durant and Olivia Reames.
