Boyce Gean �Buck� Owens, 70, of 2614 Scotts Ferry Road, Troy, husband of Jo Ann Horn Owens, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Hospice House, Greenwood. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late James Howell and Mattie Harvey Owens. He was a self employed salesman and mechanic and was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He attended Augusta Highway Baptist Church and Lighthouse Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Spencer. Surviving is his wife of the home; his children, Joseph A. Owens, Jeanna Owens Kneece and her husband, Kenneth, all of Troy, Brian K. Owens of Pelzer; a sister, Jett Ward of Simpsonville; a brother, Wallace Owens and his wife, Gladys, of Ninety Six; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Claphan and her husband, David, Megan Kneece and Montana Smith, all of Greenwood, Ashley Bolling of her husband, Alex, of Knoxville, TN and Zachary Owens of Pelzer; great granddaughter, Cameron Choate of Knoxville, TN.
