Clayton Sidney "Buddy " Sweatt, 69, of 903 Sweetwater Road, husband of Vicky Smith Sweatt, died Monday, November 2, 2015 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Abbeville, he was a son of the late Clyde and Josephine Chastain Sweatt. He was employed by Duckett Painting Company and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife of the home; six children, David Sweatt (Rene), Melissa Clements, Douglas Sweatt, Derrick Sweatt (Lynsey), Donna Sweatt, and Beth Rushton (Don), all of Greenwood; a brother, Otis Leon Sweatt of Augusta, GA; twelve grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Stanley. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the account of Clayton Sweatt, c/o Harley Funeral Home, PO Box 777, Greenwood, SC 29648. The family is at the home.
