Bulah Parsells Vayda, 72, of 257 Lee Street, Laurens, died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at her home. Born in East Chesterfield, OH, she was a daughter of the late Harold H. and Alma May Porter. She was a graduate of Piedmont Technical College and was employed for Jostens, Inc. for 20 years. She attended Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church. Surviving are children, Angela Carmela Striker, Leroy Joseph Parsells, Jr., Bulah Ann Parsells, Jr. and Walneta Fern Parsells; sister, Ruby Adelaid Koon; brothers, Lyle Harold Porter and Dale E. Porter; granddaughter raised in the home, Victoria Christine Parsells and other grandchildren, Lindsay B. Parsells, Megan S. Parsells, Patricia A. Parsells, Kenneth T. Parsells, Robert E. Parsells, Nicholas Otis Brown, III, Mackenzie J. Parsells and Mitchell James Taylor. She was preceded in death by husbands, Leroy Parsells and William Vayda; a son, Joseph Harold Leone; sister, June Lucille Armstrong; brothers, Hal Ira Porter and Ivan Dee Porter; a grandson raised in the home, Timothy Joel Parsells.
