Garland �Butch� Bartlett, Jr., 62, husband of Sammie Beechwood Bartlett, died Friday, May 29, 2009 at Hospice House, Greenwood, SC. Butch lived and worked most of his life in Washington State, employed by Birchbay Water Slides and several construction companies. He is survived by his wife; his mother, Dorothy Romine of Washington State; daughters, Jessica Bartlett of Hodges, SC, Valerie Bartlett of California, Ginny Catren and Michelle Bartlett, both of Washington State; stepsons, Tom and Martha Bredeson of Blaine, WA, Mike and Kim Bredeson of Ferndale, WA; brother-in-law, Mike Beechwood of Tacoma, WA; sisters, Jane Holland of Fort Mill, SC, Judy Koon of Ware Shoals, SC, Barbara Baird and Sally Romine, both of Washington State; numerous grandchildren including Brandon, Breanna and Sammie Bartlett. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Hamby and brothers, Wayne Romine and Dave Bartlett.
