Byron Stephen Collier, Sr., 82, of Ninety Six, died Tuesday, December 25, 2024 at NHC of Greenwood.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late George Preston "G.P." Collier, Jr. and Doris Evelyn Turner Collier. He was a graduate of Ninety Six High School and retired from the SC Department of Corrections. He was a US Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era.

Survivors include his sister, Geraldine Rackley of Ninety Six.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Sprouse officiating.
