Dr. Carl Lee Fryer, 73, of Greenwood, widower of Helen Marie Ewton Fryer, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born in Tennessee, he was a son of the late Lewis H. and Maxine Gallaway Fryer. Carl proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, exemplifying his commitment to serving his country. He graduated from Life Chiropractic College in 1981 and went on to establish his own chiropractic clinic known as The Fryer Chiropractic Clinic serving Greenwood for 38 years. Beyond his professional endeavors, Carl was a passionate supporter of the Tennessee Volunteers, often seen sporting his iconic Tennessee hat with pride.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Gary Fryer and Janice Starnes.
Surviving are his children, Carla Fryer, Stacie Goldman (Neal) and Eric Fryer (Kayla); sisters, Jerri Jean Klatecki, Kathy Fryer and Ruth Ann Fryer; grandchildren, Kaleigh Fryer, Autumn Goldman, Eli Goldman, Jordyn Fryer and Bentley Fryer; and great grandchildren, Kehlani Goldman and Oakleigh Robinson.
A graveside inurnment will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Oakbrook Memorial Park with the Rev. Rickey Knight officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
