Carolyn Vaughn Kelly, 84, formerly of 159 Avondale Road, widow of Dennis Devant Kelly, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 at NHC of Greenwood.

Born in Belton, SC she was a daughter of the late Clarence Vaughn and Etta Cisson Vaughn. She attended Belton High School and retired from Pro-Med. Mrs. Kelly was a member of Ninety Six Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a member of the Women's Ministries and volunteered in the nursey for many years. She and her sisters loved spending summers in Saluda, NC, where they camped at Orchard Lake Campground.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Lamar Kelly of Greenwood and Dennis Dwayne Kelly (Karen) of Ninety Six; a sister, Betty Muller of Hendersonville, NC; grandchildren, Brittany Kelly of Saluda, Brandon Kelly of Greenwood, Adele Kelly Price (Ron), and Gabriel Kelly, both of Ninety Six; and two great grandchildren, Karlie Kelly and Collins Kelly Price.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Foster, Nell Allen, and Ellen Bratcher and two brothers, Jerry Vaughn and Eugene Vaughn.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Brock officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories in Belton, SC.

The family will receive friends before the service from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family will be at the home of her granddaughter, Adele, 512 Poplar Hill Road, Ninety Six, SC 29666.
