Carolyn Carruth Ricks, 78, of Greenwood passed away September 7, 2025.
Born in Hartwell, Georgia, she was a daughter of Charlie and Johnnie Mae Carruth.
Carolyn had a green thumb and loved nurturing her plants and flowers. She made many trips to the mountains in the fall, where she took in the beauty of the changing leaves and picked apples in the orchards. Above all, her greatest love was for her family. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.
She is survived by daughters, Rhonda Threlkeld (Travis), and Amanda Sanders (Kevin); sons, Jeff Dixon (Velvet) and Jonathan Ricks (Kesiah Lillard); sister, Jane Wicker; brother, Dean Carruth (Brenda); grandchildren, Justin, Stephanie, Ashley, Andy, Payton, Chris and Jennifer; great grandchildren, Catherine, Payne, Wesley, Kobe, Rhett, Logan, Layla, Mady, Ella, Marley, Nickolas, and Cheraden; and a great-great grandchild, Lyles.
Along with her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Alewine and Ann Sprouse; brothers, Jack Carruth, Larry Carruth, Ed Carruth and Jimmy Carruth; and a brother-in-law, Terry Wicker.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 11:00 am at Harley Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Michael D. How.
The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
