John Carroll Foshee 93, formerly of Lowell Street, Ninety Six, widow of Lillian McDaniel Foshee, died Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Morning Side Assisted Living.

Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Johnny and Emmie Lou Long Foshee. Carroll was a U. S. Navy veteran of WWII and was a member of the American Legion 96 Post. He worked for Greenwood Mills as a Superintendent and also Clinton Mills. Carroll was a member of Ninety Six Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He was formerly married to the late Eunice Driggers Stephenson and to the late Mary E. Foshee. Carroll was preceded in death by three siblings, Saralene Ellenberg, Francis Foshee and Melvin Foshee; and two stepsons, Mickey and Duane Grogan.

Surviving are his daughters, Sandra Kidd (Royce), Carolyn Munns (Gene) both of Greenwood, Carmen Hayes (Josh) of Hodges; stepchildren Bobby Grogan (Susan) of Ninety Six, Yvonne Dorn (Tony) and Billy McDaniel (Cathy) both of Greenwood; four grandchildren; and several step grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Brock officiating. Entombment will be at 3:00 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
