Luther Carroll Ross, 63, died Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the home of his sister, Sue Baker. Carroll was a son of the late Luther Claude and Carrie L. Ross. He was born and raised in Ware Shoals and attended Ware Shoals High School. He was of the Holiness faith. Surviving are three sisters, Sue R. Baker of Hodges, Darlene R. Ashley of Ware Shoals and Bonnie R. Traynham of Greenville; a special sister-in-law, Catherine M. Ross of Ware Shoals; a special �adopted� sister, Joyce Sims of Simpsonville; 13 nieces and nephews; 28 great nieces and nephews and many special cousins, all of whom Carroll loved dearly. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Claude Ross; a baby sister, Anita Ruth Ross and a nephew, �Ricky� Ross. Carroll was known by his beautiful voice and for his many friends. He had a loving spirit, a giving heart and never met a stranger who did not become a friend. He will be greatly missed and leaves behind broken hearts.
