Chad Franklin Owens, 44, of Simpsonville, died Saturday, January 2, 2021 at his home.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Diana Hayes George (Alan) and Glenn Owens (Barbara). Chad was a graduate of Ninety Six High School and was employed with Groz Beckert. He enjoyed rodeos and playing guitars.

Surviving in addition to his mother and stepfather of Ninety Six and father and stepmother of Seneca are his fiancée Carianne Brooks Overton of the home; three sons, Levi Owens of Greenwood, Wyatt Owens of Columbia and Leo Owens of the home; two sisters, Cindy Lanier (Everett) of Piedmont and Crystal Brown (Jimmy) of Saluda; three brothers, Charles Clarke (Felicity) of Greer, Curtis Hepler (Brad Smith) of Pilot Mountain, NC and Casey George (Heather) of Greenwood; along with several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Alexander officiating. The service will be live streamed and available to view by visiting Chad's life tribute page at www.harleyfuneralhome.com , where you can leave messages for the family. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
