Harry Chandler "Chan" McCutcheon, 68, of Belton, husband of Janice Edwards McCutcheon passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023.
Born in Union, SC, he was a son of the late Ronald Lee McCutcheon, Sr. and Julia Inez Chandler. Chan dedicated his professional career to the textile industry, working his way up to a management position at Greenwood Mills.
However, his true passion lay in supporting his beloved Clemson Tigers. A devoted fan, he proudly wore his Clemson shirt every day and was a permanent fixture at home football games. Tailgating with family and friends brought him immense joy, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Chan was a true embodiment of the Clemson spirit, and his enthusiasm was contagious. He always made sure of every 2 dollar bill he had was stamped with the Clemson Paw. He was a Shriner having served as a former Shriner President and a former member of Star Fort Golf Course. Chan attended Cambridge United Methodist Church and formerly at Beaverdam Baptist Church.
Chan was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Lee McCutcheon, Jr.
Chan's family meant the world to him. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Janice McCutcheon; his daughters, Leah Burton (Derrick), Lindsey Pesca (Paul), and Cristy Creel; a sister, Gemmye Anne McCutcheon; a brother, Joseph Carl McCutcheon, Sr.; grandchildren, Austin Burton, Dylan Burton, and Lilah Kate Pesca; a niece and several nephews.
The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-7pm.
Services will be held at 11:30 on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Cambridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Brandon Couch and Rev. Hank Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews: Scott Kwarsick, Keith Kwarsick, Kyle Kwarsick, Tyler McCutcheon, Joey McCutcheon, Jr. and James McCutcheon.
