Charles William �Charlie� Clevenger, 88, of 130 Shearbrook Drive, husband of Wynell �Nell� Higgins Clevenger, died Saturday, July 9, 2011 at his home. Born in Pelzer, he was the son of the late Harry and Nettie Brown Clevenger. Charlie was a U. S. M. C. veteran having served in WWII and the Korea Conflict. He retired from Greenwood Mills, was the supervisor of the Central Shop and was of the Presbyterian faith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Clevenger. Surviving are his wife of the home; two sons, Phil Clevenger of Greenwood and Terry Clevenger of Commerce, GA; a sister, Irene Clevenger of Piedmont; and his beloved granddaughter Caroline Clevenger of Dallas, GA. The family is at the home.
