Charles "Davey" Dobbins, 56, of Greenwood, passed away on January 20, 2026, at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Johnny Dobbins and Kathy Cook Adams.

Davey dedicated 26 years of his life to Greenwood Mills, where he served as a Slasher Tender. He was a hard worker and was known for his strong work ethic. At home, he was an avid fan of football and NASCAR. His favorite teams were the Carolina Gamecocks and the Miami Dolphins. He enjoyed cooking on his grill, often bringing family and friends together for delicious meals. He was a car enthusiast and loved his truck that he had had for many years. Above all, he loved his family and his pets and was a loving and kind husband. Davey will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 34 years, Teresa; a step-daughter, Kishia White (Jesse); a step-son, Joshua Passmore (Brittany); his mother, Kathy Adams; step-father, Michael Adams; a sister, Rene Dobbins; grandchildren, Jaiden and David White, and Epiphany, Orion, Wesley, and Beatrice Passmore; his cat, "Girl"; and his 14 year old yorkie, Rowdy.

Along with his father, Charles was preceded in death by a brother, Scotty Dobbins.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
