Charles William Harvley, 72, 126 Stone Oak Lane, husband of Virginia Chapman Harvley, died Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Otis and Elsie Mae Riddle Harvley. Charles was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served during Vietnam. He retired from Greenwood Mills-Chalmers Plant and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert �Pee Wee� Harvley. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a sister, Doris(Don) Hiers; a brother, Otis (Betty) Harvley; and special friends, Cathy Sanders, Amanda Williams and Kevin Sanders all of Greenwood. Pallbearers will be his nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Emerald Baptist Church Building Fund, 110 E. Laurel Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646. The family members are at their respective homes.
