Charles "Sonny" Alvin Holley, 85, of 131 Pinehaven Drive, Ninety Six, husband of Elizabeth "Lib" Fain Holley, died Friday, June 22, 2018 at his home.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Charles Beauregard and Alma Deloach Holley. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War and retired as the Battalion Fire Chief for the Greenwood City Fire Department. Mr. Holley was a member of Eureka Lodge #47 A.F.M. for 40 years and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters, Debra K. Holley (David) and Sondra Holley Alford (Brad), both of Ninety Six; two sons, Robert V. Holley (Cynthia) of Greenwood and Paul E. Holley (Bet) of Troy; his sister, Jeanette Holley Vaughn of Greenwood; grandchildren, Krista Young, Kayla Pruitt, Joseph Holley, Joshua Holley, Kasey Holley, Will Avery and John Avery; great grandchildren, Baylor Collins, Bryar Young, Eliza Lynn Pruitt, Hattie Kate Holley and Blakely Kate Holley.
Services, with Masonic Rites, will be at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Cox officiating. Burial, with Military Rites, will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brad Alford, Joseph Holley, Joshua Holley, John Avery, Baylor Collins and Will Avery.
Honorary escort will be the former members of the Royal Ambassadors of Temple Baptist Church, along with Ray Price, Elliott "Dusty" Rhodes, Everett Parker, Hal Stockman, Alton Vaughn and Lee Funderburk.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m.
