Charles "Mick" E. Kunkle, 76, of 108 Tanglewood Drive, widower of Jamie Strawn Kunkle, died Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Self Regional Healthcare.

Born in Greenwood, he was the son of Sara Swancey Kunkle and the late Willie Lee Kunkle. He retired from Morris Communications and was a member of Emerald Baptist Church, where he was a former Deacon.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Ninety Six are his sons, Mike Kunkle (LeeAnn) of Belton and Travis Kunkle (Michelle) of Honea Path; a sister, Joe Ann Kunkle of Ninety Six; seven grandchildren, Kirsten and Kaleb Brock of Belton, Austin Kunkle of Ninety Six, Magan and Justin Kunkle, Justin Ashley, and Tyler Davis, all of Honea Path; and three great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017, at Emerald Baptist Church with the Rev. Chad Charles officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
