Charles “Mackey” McCall, 63, of Ninety Six, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026 at his home.

Born in Greenwood on August 8, 1962 he was the son of the late Charles Lloyd McCall and JoAnn Hendrix McCall.

He was a former firefighter for the Ninety Six Fire Department and a member of Temple Baptist Church. More than anything else, Mackey loved spending time with his family, especially his cherished grandkids, who affectionately called him "Poppy."

He is survived by his children, Mackey McCall (Karen), Raven McCall, and Cobe McCall; sisters, Renee Taylor (Bob) and Leisa Ellison (Jimmy); and grandchildren, Sophie, Charlton, Jack, Breleigh, Easton, Bradey, Rylan, and Maddox.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kelvin Hinson and Rev. Johnny McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Danny Balentine, Marty McCall, Greg Hall, Phil Hidgon, Mackey McCall, and Wayne Samerel.

Honorary escort will be Juanita Martin, Nicole Gail, Linda Williams, and Ann Miller.

The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
