Obituary

Charles Allen "Biddy" Proctor, of Greenwood, husband of Bobbie Simpson Proctor, died Friday, October 27, 2017 at Hospice House.

Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late James Daniel Proctor and Dessie Butler Proctor. Charles played textile league ball and American Legion Baseball. He also tried out for the Saint Louis Cardinals as a catcher and was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan. "Biddy" retired from Greenwood Flooring and was a member of Panola Methodist Church. He was a wonderful grandfather who loved his grandchildren dearly and will be miss by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Howard, Rusty and Earl "Red Penny", Frank and Bill Proctor; and two sisters, Kathryn "Kitty" Fields and Mary Shipes.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Charles "Steve" Proctor (Angie) of Greenwood and Kathy Hastings (Frankie) of Hodges; five grandchildren, Amanda P. Stowe (Kenny), Ashela Proctor, Austin Hastings (Jessica), Chase Proctor and Dylan Hastings; four great grandchildren, Hope Proctor, Harper Stowe, Kason Stowe and Gracie Hastings; and special friends, Mimi Stewart, Wendell Hall, Buddy Phillips, Lee Dykes, Dennis Mason, Susan Hudgens and Karen Swygert.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Monday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bobby Gilbert officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
