Charles Ferrel Rhodes, 44, of 1101 Calhoun Road East, husband of Jennifer Ravencraft Rhodes, died Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Union, he was a son of Donald and Judy England Rhodes. Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran, he served a tour in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom, and was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of Cedarwood Community Church and Celebrate Recovery Ministry. Charles was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gunsmith. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home, his mother of Pelzer; his father and step mother, Sonya Rhodes of Greenwood; two sons, Tanner Ginn and Alex Rhodes of Greenwood; two sisters, Rhonda Cantrell (Russ) of Greenwood and Marilyn Morrone of NC; four brothers, Richard Rhodes (Melissa) of Laurens, Kelly Jordan (Tonya) of Greenwood, Kim Jordan (Tracy) of Greenwood, and Keith Jordan of Cross Hill; three grandchildren, Tucker Ginn, Owen Ginn, Trenten Jamieson, all of Greenwood; an uncle, Bill Rhodes of Clinton; and his beloved dog, P.J. Pallbearers will be Frank Pitts, Joey Fowler, Doug Dilleshaw, Eric Cannon, Jeff Graham, Larry Smith, Eric Wells, and E.J. Speed. Honorary escort will be the current and former staff of Greenwood Sherriffs Office, members of the South Carolina National Guard, Robert Vaughn, Lyndon Amick, Rob Prince, and Robert Ledford.
