Charles L. Richey, 83, of 222 Heritage West Court, husband of Betty Page Richey, died Friday, May 18, 2012 at Hospice House. Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Clarence D. and Jewell Burrel Richey. He was co-owner of R & M Motors and was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He was a Mason and was a member of Rice Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife of the home; four daughters, Patrice Martin (Sam) of Ninety Six, Clare McGaha (Don) and Merry Wood (Tommy), all of Ware Shoals and Lane Reynolds (Tommy) of Greenwood; a son, Charles Andrew Richey of Abbeville; a brother, Billy Frank Richey of Ware Shoals; seven grandchildren, Melisande Gillespie of Ware Shoals, Shannon Martin and Alicia Davis, both of Ninety Six, Anna Frank of Okinawa, Japan, Meghan McGaha of Charleston, Amanda Wood of Greenwood and Averie Wood of Clemson and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Shannon Martin, Sam Martin, Clark Brock, Keith Gillespie, Benny Burrel, Gary Burrel, Mike Richey and Joel Richey. The family is at the home.
